  Embroidery, Quilts & Textiles

Framing of textiles is a delicate process which needs special handling to ensure the longevity of your artwork.  In order to preserve your textiles, it is essential to follow the correct methods of conservation.  The most important step of framing fabrics is called sew mounting.  By actually sewing your piece onto an acid-free backboard, we are able to distribute the weight of the fabric evenly, preventing sagging and the deterioration of the fabric.  The material used for the backing is also important because it serves as the foundation of your textile to rest on.
The style of framing that you choose is completely up to you.  We are happy to show you many different ways to present your textile piece, whether it's a casual piece or a formal antique robe.
