19th century jade bi (circle) mounted with an 18kt yellow gold bail, hung on a strand of antique natural turquoise beads. The turquoise beads were acquired from a Honolulu jewelry store which had sold them in the 1890s and the overstock was in storage by the heirs of the store for more than 100 years. The bi is very white in color and is translucent. A very elegant and understated necklace that can be worn everyday or for special occasions.
