A small round bottomed terracotta container from the Ban Chiang culture, dating approximately 900 BCE.

Provenance: John Young Collection.
John Young was an accomplished artist and collector of fine art and antiquities, well renown in Hawaii. His collections of art make up the large portion of the University of Hawaii John Young Museum of Art as well as the Honolulu Academy of Arts John Young Gallery. Both museum collections include significant specimens of Ban Chiang ware.
