A round bottom Ban Chiang vessel which would have been placed in the sand or coals to remain upright.

Provenance: John Young Collection.
John Young was an accomplished artist and collector of fine art and antiquities of well renown in Hawaii. His collections of art make up the large portion of the University of Hawaii John Young Museum of Art as well as the Honolulu Academy of Arts John Young Gallery. Both museum collections include significant specimens of Ban Chiang ware.
