This is a beautifully rendered scene with cherry blossoms in the foreground with the steep stone wall and castle in the background. Notice the delicacy of the shadows reflected in the moat and the shading of the branches. Yoshida was the leading landscape artist of the early 20th century and traveled extensively throughout Japan and all over the world for inspiration. Pencil signed on bottom right.
