13th century Korean stoneware lid. This lid has a pattern of 2 cranes on either side of the central knob that would have been the handle for this casserole pot lid. There are also 2 design areas on either side of the knob that reflect the crescent moon and clouds. The ferric oxide brown lines imitate the sumi-e lines produced by Chinese ink on paper.
