19th century alabaster figure of the Hindu male deity, Lord Krishna and his consort, Radha. Krishna is often depicted playing a flute, as he is here. However the flute is missing on this piece. The legend is that he had a herd of sacred cattle attended by milkmaids, one of whom became his consort Radha. Formerly part of the Paul Spheeris collection.
