Large silver 19th century Mongolian snuff bottle. Large snuff bottles were usually seen as cabinet bottles to be used for social situations. Each user of snuff usually had a particular blend of tobacco and spices that expressed his personal preferences. This bottle has inlays of coral and turquoise on silver with a gourd shape. The silver background has incised floral designs.
