Early 20th century ink on paper painting of individuals being escorted to Hell, recently remounted. This is a portion of a long hand scroll of various sketches by an anonymous artist. This piece shows the reluctant procession of people to what has to be assumed as one of the levels of Hell. The guardians and enforcers of that realm are taking them away. This is an interesting drawing because it does show the traditional image of the enforcers of Hell, and it is also a rather elegant line drawing, obviously an image by perhaps a professional temple artist.
