17th-18th century seed mala. The type of seeds from which this mala was made is unknown. The seed is like box wood in color and density and has the protruding elements rising to the surf like rudraksha, but has an overall squared form. The beads also show the weathering of well handled elements of an old mala. There are also two bronze vajra beads and a bronze Thogchog (metals from heaven) pendant. This is a mala for the Bon form of Buddhism.
