Song Dynasty (960-1279) stoneware bowl with light celadon glaze. It is in excellent condition, however there are a couple of dimples on the inner surface where the glaze did not adhere. They are very tiny and inconspicuous. This very simple straight forward shape of a Song bowl is the conventional style with a small foot and large wide mouth. On the inner surface there is an extremely light and fine combed scraffito design that has a kind of looping abstract character.
