Inscription, poem by Tesshu:
"Good in the clear, good hidden by clouds, the original form of Mount Fuji never changes."

The large character represents both KOTOBUKU (longevity and good luck) and RYU (ascending dragon). The poem by Tesshu is one of the best known Zen verses. The brushwork here makes the characters look like floating clouds. In Japan, this kind of Zenga would be displayed during the New Year.
