An original watercolor and pastel painting on paper by Charles W. Bartlett. A charming scene of a young Japanese mother checking on her infant son who is sleeping atop a mosquito-net covered futon. Currently framed with ultra-violet filtering non-reflective plexiglas and a hand-carved, hand-finished blue and 23kt gold leaf frame.

Ms. Schmidt was the niece of Charles Bartlett and this painting was discovered in Bartlett's old home in Manoa, Hawaii. An old label reads:
